ExampleHow to add note-taking margins to a PDF
Slide Notes extends each PDF page with graph paper: half the slide’s width on the left and a full slide’s width on the right. The original slide keeps its size, giving you space for handwritten notes beside the content.
- Select or drop in your lecture PDFs. You can process multiple files together.
- Preview a page and adjust the grid square size or line contrast.
-
Choose Add grid paper, then download the ZIP.
Each lecture stays a separate PDF with
-notesadded to its filename.
Does the grid scale with different PDF sizes?
Yes. The default grid has 42 squares along the slide’s shorter edge, matching the proportions of 5 mm graph paper on A4. Squares scale with each page, including mixed-size and rotated slides. Their printed size depends on your print settings.
Can I use the PDFs on an iPad or Mac?
Import the downloaded PDFs into a PDF annotation app, such as Goodnotes, Notability, or Preview on Mac, and write in the new margins. The tool runs in a modern browser with no installation or account.
Are my lecture files uploaded?
No. Previewing, adding the grid, and creating the ZIP all happen on your device. The PDF text and artwork stay at their original quality. Password-protected PDFs need to be exported as unlocked copies first.
